Co-Opp LAN 5 prizes

Well, seeming we're kinda of a closer knit community than most 'companies' that have LANs, i am interested in seeking ideas for prizes.

For example:

Would you rather one of the prizes be like the id Software pack on steam that has 21 games (Quake and Doom series)
or perhaps the THQ pack with 13 games (Dawn of War, Company of Heroes, Titan Quest)

Whilst on the other hand, victhebitter has linked to some quality pccg stuff that might also be useful, not necessarily stuff you need, but stuff that you'd use, and would make you look like a tool.

Then again, there is also the idea that i could go out and buy another monitor as prizes.
At the moment i have about 16 very average steam games as prizes. But games that you can play none-the-less.

I like the idea of paying someone's return trip

So if someone from sydney wins they get $20 for petrol, but if someone from melbourne wins, they get $70 or whatever. Seems a bit bias to le travellers

What if they were flying first class home
But none-the-less, still a valid prize

what about a mars bar for the last person to arrive lol

ummm.. (these are all seperate suggestions, we obviously cant get them all)

-various coloured LED case fans? 120mm i expect to be the common size? (Though theyre like $20> each)
-logitech x530s (quality speakers $80-90 at msy usually)
-creative fatal1ty (the old version) headset (comfy and good quality mic for $60-80)
-A floppy disk drive for the person with the worst computer
-a logitech mx518 mouse (quality for like $35- i have one)
-Some usb sticks/sd cards/micro sd cards
-maybe an internal and/or external hard drive.
-keyboard (sidewinder/g15/lycosa)
-find real tf2 class hats and hand them out xD

Not bad idea's. But are you going to pay an put in some of them??
I don't think the mx518 is a good idea tho, nice mouse but gets pwned these days. Can get better mouses for same price now

I'll be finding some completely un-pc related prize to put into the prize pool

better mouses yes... but for $35 or under?
and I can prolly help a little towards the prize pool depending on how much i spend up there in the first place.

Do remember guys Steelseries are providing some prizes for the event.

So I may be able to organise a specific type of prize from them (no promises)

Don't worry about contributing to the prize pool guys, entry and donations contribute. Theres enough money for a couple of decent prizes and a few small ones.

And as tallest said, there are steel series who are adding as well.
