Most of those things you quote about LoL are happening with HoN too.

Me and Drac tried it out, it just feels SLOW. Or when your blasting away with spells, because the devs wanted it to feel action packed, it gets cluttered. And the low cooldowns only serve to make spells weaker, so you can spam them often but not feel like you're doing much.

Each to their own I guess.

I would love to see them make an invoker for LoL though. seems like a lot of fun. Is there one in HoN though (seeing as they ripped off of most of the heroes from DoTA)

They didn't rip them off, they have the maker of one of the dota versions (I think the all stars person) working with them, it was always supposed to be a direct port of DOTA to a new engine.

I know. i just dislike a remake of an old game in a new engine. I enjoy how LoL is an original setting with original characters. but i can see why DoTA 2.0 would apeal to a lot of people. and they have a few of the DoTA dudes at Riot (LoL makers) and icefrog has been hired by valve to make a MOBA.

Incidently does HoN have an AP equivelant (AP is ability power and its an item stat which buffs the effectsa of spells making casters more viable late game)

nope, you have to try and pick heroes that will work at all parts of the game. or hope you don't get SD'd Thunderbringer in a game going for 91 minutes. But you can buy items to counteract the fact your nukes do less relative damage late game.

(lol lv 4 codex on TB. nuke, codex, chain lightning, nuke, chain lightning, run, nuke, ulti, hope)

Sooooo mages are a lot less useful late game? that sounds pretty bad to me as it ruins a lot of your choice.

Also some LoL characters are still better at different parts of the game. notibly carries and annie.

Also i'd like to give HoN a shot if any of you have a spare key (or 2)

Kay, that 7 spell hero isn't all that impressive.
Intelligence characters are not useful late game, they just become more item dependant. As for thunderbringer, he has no stuns, only nukes, and as late game progresses, the nukes get worse because of the other heroes items and health.

I fail to see how LoL is an original setting btw. :/

There is one item that increases ability power, and that's the Staff of the Master, which upgrades several heroes ultimate abilitys, but that's about it. If your team decides to pick heroes which lack late game, then they either need to farm up so hard that their items carry out anything else, or finish the game before it reachs the late stage.

It's ALL about hero choice.

[b]Pantheon, the Artisan of War[/b]

Abilities:
Spear Shot: Pantheon hurls his spear at an opponent.

Aegis of Zeonia: Pantheon leaps at an enemy and bashes them with his shield, stunning them in the process. Pantheon also refreshes his Aegis Protection.

Heartseeker Strike: Pantheon unleashes 5 swift strikes to the area in front of him. Pantheon also becomes more aware of his enemy’s vital spots, allowing him to always critically strike enemies below 20% health.

Grand Skyfall: Pantheon composes himself, and them leaps into the air to a target location, striking all enemy units in an area. Enemies closer to the center of the impact take more damage.

Aegis Protection (Passive): After 4 attacks or spellcasts, Pantheon will block the next normal attack made against him that deals over 40 damage.

Body Slam : Gragas charges forward and collides with the first enemy unit he comes across, dealing damage to all enemies near the collision.

Drunken Rage : Gragas guzzles brew from his cask, restoring mana over a short period of time. After he finishes drinking, he becomes drunkenly enraged, increasing physical damage dealt and decreasing all damage taken.

Barrel Roll : Gragas rolls his cask to a location, which can be activated again to explode after arriving or will explode on its own after 5 seconds, dealing damage to enemy units in the area.

Explosive Cask (ultimate) : Gragas throws his cask to a location which explodes on impact, dealing damage to enemy units in the area and knocking them back.

Happy Hour (Passive): Gragas takes a drink from his cask every time he uses an ability, restoring hit points over time.


and the last new champion. This one is the only one without officially released skills. they will probably be changed due to how OP they seem currently

ablities:
LightningMastery" = "Kennen does a double attack every few attacks, and can activate to infuse himself with lightning, dealing damage to attackers and adding a Mark of Storm."

LightningRush" = "Kennen assumes the form of an Avatar of Lightning, moving very fast and ignoring collision. Any unit he touches receives damage and a Mark of Storm."

ShurikenHurl" = "Kennen throws a fast moving shuriken towards a location, causing damage and adding a Mark of Storm to any opponent that it hits."

KennenShurikenStorm" = "Kennen summons a shuriken storm around him, dealing damage to singular enemies who stand near him."

Storm Spirit was an amazing hero. His ultimate was the "Lightning Rush", and once late game rolled around, he could literally move around the entire map in about one second. At a cost of all his mana of course.
He was by no means overpowered, he just had AMAZING synergy with all of his skills. If the team didn't have a proper disable, SS would roll EVERYONE, minus a few tanks.
