A closer Ohnd and mcsA relationship.

O.k. so me and d3v had a good chat tonight, mostly about trivial things, like the meaning of life... but d3v1an7 raised a good point during the discussion about furthering the close inter-clanial relationships between the much beloved Ohnd clan and our own honorable abode...

We came to an agreement that the clans are "similar enough to warrant a closer relationship, but are different enough to not have a merger into one clan" to quote d3v... but it would be in the best interests of both clans to have a closer relationship.

d3v1an7 suggested a great idea (and I agree with him) that we should start to share resources (webspace, vent/ts servers etc.) and create way of enabling members of either clans to make voluntary contributions towards these services as to share the cost around and in the end creates more quality services for the members of either clans to utilize.

We didn't talk about specifics as yet, but we decided it would be best to return to our respective members and ask their opinions/any suggestions they would like to add.

If you are currently unaware, our web-space is currently hosted by the lovely Linuxinit (great bunch of people), our site is managed by the talented David Baines *audience applauses* and we currently have a Team Speak server thoughtfully supplied to us by AussieVomitBomb.

Well, that is all I have to announce for now, I will keep you up to date as much as possible and we would love to hear recommendations/alterations that you think would be appropriate, as your opinions will be taken on board and we will try to accommodate your needs to every extent.

I think this is a great idea. mcsA and ohnd have had some great times and i also feel that we need to have a more active and closer relationship. We should indeed share resources as you say, unfortunately i cant really make any contributions, since i barely know anything about hosting or web pages, if thats what you mean.

The only thing i can really make is source maps, and thats about it.

I like this it sounds great, and yes, a merge would mean a bit of chaos imo as both clans have millions of members, we'd have to agree on a name + tag and all the war clans, etc...

If we shared ohnds vent server that would be cool as our TS server relays through texas so theres a bit of a delay...

To answer Krangs' question, yes there would definitely be a clear message that the two clans have not merged, I don't think your allowed by the universe to have that much concentrated awesome in one supreme being

Pheonix, you may think you can't make any contributions, but we will try and work out a system where everyone feels like they're being involved and they all feel like there contributing in some way.

Besides, just being part of a clan, you contribute in one way or another, we might feel that we need our own conjoined map to sort of celebrate the closening of ohnd and mcsA, you may work with a number of other players to develop this map of awesomeness.

Big deal get a better ISP my American clan have fully paid for it and gave it to Mcsa as a favour to me as they already have another TS. I think you are ungrateful and how about you spend your free time hosting it then?

I don't think he meant it that way mate, we all appreciate the TS server you and your mates provide us with free of charge.

whoa aussie, dude, we love the TS server. Im just saying that if the clans were to share a TS/vent server it would probably be better with their vent, as having excess of 20 people from australia in a server thats in texas might case a teeny bit of lag.
